The Valle dei Mulini is the brand used by the Aceto family of Amalfi for the production of Limoncello. For this production only lemons of the type "sfusato Amalfitano IGP" are used, always produced by the same family company on the land perched on the Amalfi coast, in the area called the Valle dei Mulini, from which the limoncello liqueur brand takes its name.
The sfusato Amalfitano IGP lemon has an elongated elliptical shape, the skin is smooth and citrine-yellow. It is distinguished by the other lemons produced always in the Mediterranean area for its size, for very long storage times, for the thick, wrinkled bark rich in strongly aromatic essential oils. The aroma and the perfume are intense and very strong, the abundant and very acidic juice has a few seeds.
The Vietri sul Mare Ceramics are real masterpieces, fruit of a centuries-old tradition, carried out only in some villages of the Amalfi Coast, and represent one of the excellent products of these places.
The production process, however, is very long and complex, with a first phase of molding the lathe on the lathe, where the shape and the structure at work, a second phase of baking in the oven and a subsequent glazing phase. Once this is done, the Vietri ceramic plates and tiles are bathed in white enamel, left to dry and only subsequently decorated by hand. The colors will be more brilliant thanks to a second firing that will fix the works designed.
However, their most extraordinary feature is that each ceramic is a unique piece, there are no duplications.
Even today, the production of the best Vietri ceramics continues in the various craft workshops, thus bringing forward a family tradition that is sometimes over a century.
