The original Limoncello di Sorrento PGI must be produced in one of the municipalities of the territory that runs from Vico Equense to Massa Lubrense and the island of Capri.

in the territories of the Amalfi Coast, it is said that the great families of Sorrento, in the early '900, were never lacking to the distinguished guests a taste of limoncello made according to old recipes.

The originality of this limoncello is precisely in PGI lemons grown on the hills of the Sorrento peninsula, which benefits the typical Mediterranean climate; lemons whose particularity is to have a very thick and fragrant peel. And the peel is the main ingredient for producing the limoncello: zest is in fact rich in essential oils and has a very strong aroma.
