The area of Agerola. Lattari Mountains, in the province of Naples produces a variety of pear dark green. round shape and taste mellow and sweet, called "pennata pear".

It comes from a very vigorous plant, present in mixed orchards, which produces to August-September; It is a strongly localized ecotype, which fell within the constitution of horticultural orchards family, and even today is mostly consumed locally, or even solely from the same manufacturer.
