Gragnano pasta is a combination of aromas and flavors even if seasoned with a simple fresh tomato and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

But what is so special about Gragnano pasta to be universally considered "the" pasta? For some, much of its success is linked to consistency. The production of "white gold" in Gragnano developed enormously in the seventeenth century, because the country was favored by particular climatic conditions that led to an extremely particular drying of production. The most famous pasta shapes are paccheri, spaghetti and linguine di Gragnano.
